Worship

This ministry assists in coordinating our worship services to provide stimulating and meaningful experiences in Christ.  This includes providing servers, ushers, hall monitors, and assistance.  They oversee the purchase and preparation of the Lord’s Supper elements. They are also responsible for the cleaning and storage of baptismal garments, and assist with baptismal services.  Two other arms of this ministry are the Music and Drama ministries.

Womens

This ministry seeks to involve the women of our congregation in activities, projects, and programs that most effectively afford them the opportunity for fellowship, growth and service.

Transportation

This ministry seeks to provide for the transportation needs of the congregation.  This ministry is responsible for training drivers when needed, maintenance of vehicles and keeping up-to-date records on all vehicles. This ministry also establishes policies for usage and monitor insurance needs.

Stewardship

The number one priority of this ministry is to educate and challenge the congregation to practice the principles of New Testament giving.  They also handle funds received from the weekly offering and are responsible for preparation of the annual budget.  The ministry is divided into four sub-ministries: Research, Operations (General Fund), Information, and Special Needs.  Duties include counting and depositing funds, keeping records, disbursing funds, etc.

Shepherding

The Shepherding Ministry group is led by the elders. The Shepherding Ministry shall provide for the pastoral care of the congregation. Shepherding structures are determined by the best possible means of coordination, and use of human resources.  This care may include:  Encourage the reactivation of inactive members, Visit those who are ill and/or hospitalized,  Minister comfort to those who are be- reaved, Give spiritual support and instruction to those experiencing the crises of life.

Safety & Security

This ministry seeks to provide for the safety and security of the people and property of the church through policies, training and actual presence. This includes parking lot flow and security, alarm system procedures, etc.

Property

This ministry coordinates the building maintenance, mechanical maintenance and ground maintenance. It oversees the janitorial services and recruits volunteers skilled in these areas to keep the facilities and grounds in the best possible shape.  This ministry also monitors the building insurance needs and cost effective measures.

Prime Timers

It is the goal of this ministry to provide a variety of opportunities for our folks who have attained the age of 55 and over. Involvement in our activities will help an individual maintain spiritual and social well-being. Activities are planned on a monthly basis. Devotion/game nights, card ministry, day trips, overnight trips, and banquets have been the core of our scheduling.  “I will be your God through all your lifetime, yes even when your hair is white with age.  I made you and I will carry you along and be your Savior.”  Isaiah 46:4 (Living Bible)

Prayer Ministry

Those serving  and participating in this ministry will lead the congregation in responding to the prayer needs of the Draper Park body.  This ministry will make known to the congregation special requests for prayer that come from other sources through various means.

Mothers Day Out (MDO)

MDO’s main goal is to serve the members of DPCC and the surrounding community by providing a loving and safe Christian day care environment. MDO strives to help preschool children grow spiritually, emotionally, socially and mentally within that environment.  MDO workers are paid positions.  If you would like to inquire about these, please contact the MDO director.
